Please donate today to help support marginalized kids in northern Peru.
While only building a skatepark can undoubtedly provide a positive impact for individuals and communities, CJF has long observed that in order to truly provide socio-economic benefit, an investment into youth programming at the site is required. This is why we always facilitate positive youth development (PYD) programming at our project locations - through skateboarding.
CJF’s flagship youth development programme will run at the Cerrito Skatepark, offering skateboarding and life-skills classes to children aged 6-16. We expect to reach some 300 children per year through the daily classes.
Read more about the programme here.
Offering paid apprenticeship programmes for youth aged 16+ in photography and videography, editing and multimedia production, entrepreneurship and project management, as well as skatepark construction and maintenance. Read more about the programme here.
In partnership Otra Cosa Network and Moomin Language School we will also facilitate a new homework and English-teaching programme, offering technology-enabled lessons for the children at the skatepark.

Alfonso a.k.a. “Foncho” is the longest standing member of the CJF Peru team, and this interview shows why. His love and dedication to skateboarding is proven both on and off the board. Foncho has experienced first-hand how important it is to get up after falling down. And to stay positive, in life as in skateboarding. Listen up, here’s a thoroughly true skater.

Arissa Moreno Ruiz is one of those selflessly driven human beings that just get things done. She’s a local from Trujillo, she’s 26-years old, and she’s the newly appointed Country Manager of CJF Peru. We sat down with her to talk about the Cerrito de la Virgen project location, which she will be managing once construction is done. Sit back, relax and learn more about CJF Peru.
