We build skateparks and run youth programmes to promote health and well-being, access to education, gender equality, community development and economic growth.

We are active in Jamaica, Peru and Morocco.

Peru.

The Cerrito Skatepark was built by CJF in the fall of 2021. With roots in the Alto Trujillo Skatepark built in 2018, it is our longest standing project location.



Season 13 Report - September to December, 2022:

139 unique children impacted over 71 Edu-Skate classes

204 total attendance over 25 Girls Skate sessions

60% female participation across all programmes

1091 skatepark visits

Jamaica.

The Freedom Skatepark & Youth Centre was built by CJF in the spring of 2020. It is our largest project location.



September to December, 2022:

72 unique children impacted over 32 Edu-Skate classes.

52 total attendance over 10 Homework sessions.

24 total attendance over 6 Enrichment Activities.

48% female participation across all programmes.

958 skatepark visits.

540+ skateboards loaned.

Morocco.

The Fiers et Forts Skatepark was built by CJF in the spring of 2022. It was built on the grounds of an orphanage and currently serves 35 children living at the centre.



September to November, 2022:

32 unique children impacted over 31 Edu-Skate classes

142 total attendance over 14 Enrichment activities

286 total Attendance over 47 Open Skate Sessions

492 total attendance over 54 Visitor Sessions

32% female participation across all programmes

Sharing is caring: one year of the Edu-Skate Worldwide Network.



The Network offers a space for exchange that allows us to analyze the impact from a multilateral perspective. This not only guarantees more effective monitoring of the collective work as a network but is also an opportunity for learning and improvement that, in 2022, resulted in 100+ new life-skill-focused activity ideas to be included in our 2023 Edu-Skate curriculum.

CJF apprentice Jhikson has been awarded the first-ever scholarship from The Skatepark School



We are very happy to announce that one of CJF’s previous apprentices, Jhikson Akamine Garcia from Peru, has been awarded a grant to attend a skatepark design course from pioneering school, The Skatepark School, an online training school created by industry professionals from Australia for anyone looking to get into the particular craft of skatepark design.
