At CJF, we’re constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to secure the resources necessary to support the communities we work with. And to that end, we’re today very excited to announce a new partnership in support of the Freedom Skatepark Project.
The BitGive Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation and online donation platform that leverages cryptocurrency and blockchain technology for NGOs. In essence, their platform allows registered non-profit organisations to receive donations in Bitcoin and in many different cryptocurrencies to realise their social projects. Read more

It’s happening again folks! In February 2020 a group of 25 international volunteers will link up with Jamaican skateboarders to build Kingston’s very first skatepark, as well as a community centre attached to it. Following completion, the Edu-Skate Programme will begin, using skateboarding as a tool to stimulate life-skills, psychological well-being and personal development for at-risk youth. On December 9th, 2018, the first skatepark of Angola was opened in the capital city of Luanda, marking the end of five weeks of construction. With speeches, skate clinics, competitions, live music and drinks, the inauguration proved a jam-packed day of fun and jubilation for local youth and the Angolan skateboarding community. Read more
